Statement

A simplified metadata template was distributed prior to the SeaKeys monitoring workshop with the request that participants source the relevant information from their colleagues about each appropriate monitoring initiative and submit, with position information, prior to the workshop. This information was translated to shape file format in one of three ways.

•Coordinates is WGS84 were used to locate the monitoring sites

•Map images were georeferenced to identify the general location of the monitoring site, this was followed by further refinement of the site location using map labels and locations visible on Google Earth.

This information was then reviewed and exported to maps in jpg format for use in the SeaKeys Monitoring Workshop report.
