Ezemvelo Managed Protected Area Boundary – Areas recently acquired but not currently proclaimed (2016). In support of the NPAES, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife aims to add to its protected area footprint by acquiring high biodiversity areas through various avenues. In the later part of 2015, 1 property was donated and 3 others purchased.

In late 2015 4 properties were acquired by Ezemvelo KZN Wildife. These included Wahroonga (donated November 2015) and the 3 properties in the eMakhosini area that were purchased (Koningskroon (2) and Dortsfontein). Boundaries for these properties were determined from the title deeds and farm portion shapefile from SG 2014 dataset as described in the Agreement of Sale document (contact Heidi Snyman for details). These properties are in the process of being proclaimed and are managed by EKZNW.
