- Areas which have been proclaimed, proclamation documents where used to identify the properties selected for the identified status. These land parcels where selected from the surveyor general cadastre file.
- Areas that have not been proclaimed, were delineated by either the relevant Regional Ecologist or DCO.
Notes
The list includes all those CCA’s that are in the 2011 report written by the Social Planning & Assessment Division, but it has been recently established that the information for some of these areas is incorrect. Five of the CCAs in this shapefile are proclaimed, but 4 are already included in other coverages. It is difficult to gather reliable and accurate information on these areas therefore a request will be put forward for the status of these areas to be updated. The boundaries in this coverage was determined using 2014 cadastral info from SG as there are survey diagrams for some of the CCAs, although no
proclamation has been done. Other boundary information has been provided by Petros Ngwenya for the West, and Sharon Louw for the East.
