The layer is one of several aimed at guiding conservation action. The renosterveld priority clusters layer indicates which lowland renosterveld areas should be the focus of implementation initiatives (e.g.CapeNature’s Stewardship Programme) over the next 20 years, in order to secure the protection of their biodiversity by means of long-term conservation agreements.
