April 2013 Edits by Heidi Snyman Reason for update : Update 2010 dataset Proclamation documents and proclamations awaiting MEC signature (Board Approved status) where e-mailed to Heidi Snyman by Greg Martindale. These documents where used to select the property parcels from the 2010 SG cadastre dataset. January 2014 Edits by Heidi Snyman Reason for Update: Update of proclamation status The following sites were proclaimed in November 2013: Excelsior; Mount Shannon; Blue Crane; Michealhouse; Pongola Bush; Ncandu; Weza; Forest Side; Clairmont. These sites were captured spatially and were recorded as “Board Approved – Awaiting MEC Gazette” in the 2013 coverage. The status was updated in the additional field “stat_13_14” as proclaimed. November 2014 Edits by Heidi Snyman Reason for update : Correct boundary Hilton Nature Reserve boundary amended to reflect correct boundary. Boundary described in proclamation document is incorrect. (Note sent to Greg Martindale). NOTES Heidi Snyman updated the dataset to include all those sites that were previously in the file called “awaiting final dec”. The proclamations for these sites were signed in October 2015. Boundaries determined using 2014 cadastral info from SG, as listed in the proclamations. Nomalanga (which was in the ‘awaiting final dec’ coverage) has been removed from the shapefile (ref: Derrek Ruiters – January 2016). Apparently a survey and subdivision is required before declaration can take place. NB: There are queries with Nambiti, Roosfontein, Hawaan and Fort Nottingham boundaries. At this stage, boundaries according to the best info available at the time have been used for these 4, and will be used until the issues have been resolved with the Stewardship Unit.
