An expert workshop was held (on 6 May 2003) to delineate the boundaries of these geomorphic provinces on topo maps at a 1:250 000 scale. The workshop considered the geomorphic provinces of South Africa as defined King, Wellington and Cole (King, 1959, Cole, 1966 and Wellington, 1955). Professor Tim Partridge presented his “physiographic regions” of South Africa to the workshop.
