This was derived from the grid version of the KZN 2011 Land Cover Version 1[clplc11v1w31]. This grid [clplc11v1w31] was created by converting the ERDAS image [kzn-2011-landcover-filtered-final-tmlo031-hart94-wgs84], produced by GeoTerraImage (see 2011 KZN Province Land-Cover Mapping: Data Users Report and Metadata (version 1.0d) for details of the production of the original ERDAS image. The categories listed in “How the 2011 V1 LC was reclassified” text file, were reclassed to 0 (transformed), 1 (untransformed) and 2 (outside the province). Please note that the dataset was clipped to the KZN provincial boundary except on the seaward side which included the land cover type “bare sand coastal”. Please refer to the documentation of “ clplc11v1w31” for details of the clipping. The KZN provincial boundary file that was used is the file created by Ezemvelo “KZNBnd08_W31” and therefore does not match that of the official provincial boundary as disseminated by Demarcation Board. Important to note as it includes the portion of Eastern Cape.
